Life With a Small Dog, Doggerel

Five stars for this wonderful foray into the world of a dog with its human.  Sue Vincent, the human in question, carves rhyming sentences into sweet and often comic vignettes.

I’m a dog lover so I was drawn to a book all about Ani, a photogenic doggy.  I love all of her incredible expressions. What’s more amazing is Ani’s story is done entirely in verse, rhyming  verse, no less. It’s a delightful read all about Ani and her human’s daily adventures. If you are a dog lover, like me, you’ll want to read this well told story.

Happy  Doggerel reading.

    1. Hi Sue. Yes, I did so enjoy it. Ani has the most expressive eyes. To be able tell a wonderful story in rhyming verse is so incredible. I couldn’t stop turning the pages. I love the part where you tell her you’re going to clean her ears and she disappears! OH, I got such a belly laugh from that! I put this post on Amazon as well.

      1. It is all true, too Kathy… Ani is a real character and understands so many human words… I can’t sneak anything past her!
Thank you very much for posting the review to Amazon too 🙂

  1. Hi Kathy, Very nice of you to become a Follower. I followed you first 🙂 !
I am also a lover of poetry besides being a dog artist and all dat. I particulaarly like minimalistic poems, if there’s such a thing (there is, in art as in illustration, you’d know). Glad to be acquainted with you here.
