I began writing it about two years ago.Growing up in the south when the ‘White’s only’ signs, divided us, I never forgot how I felt, how wrong it all felt. So, this book is a fictionalize account, a mystery as well about the intertwined lives of two girls born in different circumstances a hundred years apart.

HI Liz, yes it does carry a message about coming of age in turbulent times, and times when many were held in bondage. It is also a young love story and a mystery. I began reading, Telling Sonny, last night. Love your writing style. :o)
